Dubbed the East India Express, the journey is expected to take 15 days of riding if permission is granted to travel through Pakistan – however, a police escort would be required – or slightly longer if a deviation through Dubai is necessary, but Shetty is looking forward to the challenge.

Sushanth is the son of Jayanand Shetty and Rekha J Shetty from Bhavantakody in Varkady Village in Manjeshwar. Currently his parents are residing at Rajajinagar, Bangalore. Sushanth, who pursued higher education in motor sports engineering in England, serves for UK Ford Company at present.

Susahnth will traverse through 12 countries and will arrive at Bangalore in 2 weeks by travelling a distance of 12,000Kms to fulfil his goal. He will move through 7 different time zones. He will be using Suzuki Hayabusa motor bike. He has received the permission from all the countries until his destination. During his travel, he will stay in different countries, and has taken help from his friends staying in various countries for this purpose.

Sushanth has tremendous interest in motor bike travel. He has travelled by motor bike to several countries, and has also negotiated rugged and hilly terrain of Himalayan roads by participating in car and motor bike races.

Sushanth already has his flight booked back to the UK on 23 November, after spending a few days at home. The bike will remain in India for India Bike Week in February before being shipped back to the UK.

We here, wish Sushant all the very best and may he achieve his goal with all the safety, fun and happiness.
