Mangalore university to publish degree results - June 12

Mangalore, June 11,2015 : A media release from M’lore University will announce the results of  undergraduate examinations conducted in April-May on June 12, at the inaugural day of its ‘open house’ at the campus. But students will be able to view them by logging on to the university’s website only in the university campus at Mangalagangotri through WiFi-enabled network.  The results will be available on the internet on the university’s websitewww.mangaloreuniversity.ac.in  on June 14.

Announcing this to media V C ,  Byrappa said that students and parents visiting the campus on June 12 and June 13 during the ‘open house’ can see the results using free WiFi facility to be provided on those two days.

The ‘open house’  organised to showcase the salient features and facilities at the university to those graduates who would like to join the postgraduate courses offered by the university at the institutions run by it.

He said that the results of 77,608 students who appeared for the examinations of undergraduate courses in April-May would be out on June 12. It would include results of 37,994 B.Com. students, 6,019 B,Sc. students, 3,674 BCA students and 816 BSW students and students who appeared for examinations of other courses.

He said that the decision to not post the results on the internet on June 12 has been taken consciously to attract undergraduate students to the university campus to the ‘open house’. This way, the students could visit the departments of their choice to know more about the postgraduate courses.

The Vice-Chancellor also said that the university has planned to admit 150 foreign students to postgraduate courses and research during the academic year 2015-16. This would be in addition to about 20 students admitted during 2014-15. The university has received 540 applications from foreign students seeking admission. The applicants were from 32 countries. Of them, 150 would be admitted.


The university would shortly begin constructing ’international house’  a hostel, for foreign students on its campus.  The Vice-Chancellor said that 1,543 post-graduate seats in 24 departments having 37 post-graduate courses were available in the university and at institutes owned by it for 2015-16.
