Mangalore: Shalini Rajaneesh visits girls’ hostel, tastes sambaar

Mangaluru, 1 May 2015: Senior IAS officer Shalini Rajaneesh, Principal Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department, has visited Government Post Matric Girls Hostel here in Mangaluru on 1 May 2015 Friday morning at 7.30 am.

 

 

 She wished them bright future after a brief interaction with hostel inmates. There are 100 girls using the hostel facility in Ashok Nagara post matric hostel.

District Backward Classes Welfare Department officer Santosh Kumar along with department official accompanied her.

Shalini Rajanessh also attended mass marriage function organised by Shri Veerendra Hegde at Dharmasthala on 30 April 2015.

Government gives incentive of Rs 50,000 if SC boy marries inter caste and 1,00,000 if SC girl marries into another caste, she said and she wished happy married life to 23 such couples in the mass marriage function.

Join hands for a Caste less society and simple group marriage and Let their be no more suicides of poor parents zealously spending on Lavish marriages out of loan money, she said.
