Mangalore: City bus ramps into bus Stop, kills a youth

Mangalore, Aug 28, 2014:  One youth died on the spot after a bus rammed into him at Bendoorwell bus stop here on Thursday August 28.

Eyewitnesses said that State Bank bound route number 51 Private ran over the bus stop and hit the youth who was waiting for city bus going towards Marnamikatte.

 

 

 

The deceased identified as Tilak Raj, aged 20, hailing from Panemangalur, near Bantwal. Sources said that two others were injured in the accident, but their identities are yet to known.

Crowds gathered at the spot and the police had a tough time maintaining order.
T D Nagaraj, East Traffic police inspector, who arrived at the spot, registered a case against driver of the Private bus for negligent driving and other sections for the death of pedestrian.
