Man murdered in railway station was a notorious pickpocket

Mangalore, Oct 3, 2014:  Investigations by the police have now revealed that the young man who was found stabbed to death at the south end of the Mangalore Central Railway Station during the wee hours of October 2, Thursday was a notorious pickpocket.

The deceased identified as  Jayraj alias Subba alias Nama (27) of Bajalkodi Jalligudde   reportedly resorted to pickpocket in railway stations and had cases against him in Bunder and Pandeshwar police stations.

The man was identified  after police found a chit with a phone number in his pocket. The motive behind the murder is not yet known, although there is a suspicion that some person whom he tried to rob, might have stabbed him.
