Man leaves thriving job in Australia for Modi

Mangaluru, Apr 15 2019: A native of Surathkal has foregone his well-paid job at Sydney Airport for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cause.

Sudheendra Hebbar, 41, is a great follower of Modi. An MBA degree-holder, Hebbar was serving as screening officer at the airport. He had taken leave from April 5 to 12 to visit his native place.

The Lok Sabha election in Dakshina Kannada constituency will be held on April 18. As he could not extend his leave, Hebbar has resigned from his job.

Name missing  :  Hebbar explained, “I had left Mangaluru for Australia after exercising my franchise on April 17, 2014. I wished to exercise my franchise this year especially. My name, however, had been deleted from the electoral list. Hence, I had visited my native place, availing of leave for 21 days in January to register my name in the voters’ list.”

Further, he said, “I had was granted leave of absence April 5 to 12. Owing to Easter and Ramzan, my leave was not extended. When my leave was not sanctioned, I sent my resignation letter. Had I asked for leave to exercise my franchise, I would have been granted leave, but I also wanted to be a part of the Vijayotsava after the election.”  Hebbar said, “It is possible to get another job, but serving Modiji is my happiness.”

Hebbar has been a part of the BJP’s campaign in Mangaluru. He has been engaged in publicity-related activities at the BJP election office as well.

“Modi has increased the image of India across the world. I wish Modi to be re-elected as prime minister of India,” he said. Hebbar’s better half is a resident of Fiji.
