Man killed in accident

Mangaluru, May 10, 2018: man was killed and another injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle at Ampar village, which comes under Shankarnarayana police limits, on Wednesday.

According to the police, Shankar Shetty was driving his car from Ampar to Siddapura and Mahesh Shetty was going on his motorcycle in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided near Balkabettu bridge at Ampar. Both men were severely injured.

They were rushed to Chinmayi Hospital in Kundapur, where Mahesh was pronounced brought dead. Shankar, after being administered preliminary treatment, was shifted to Kasturba Hospital in Manipal for further treatment. Rash and negligent driving by the car driver is said to be the cause of the accident.
