Man hurls suspicious packet inside prison right in front of Mayor

Mangaluru, Aug 21,2017 : Ganja and other banned things making inroads into the district prison is nothing new. However, on Sunday, Mayor Kavitha Sanil was witness to one such incident wherein a bike rider threw a plastic packet, suspected to be having  a banned product,  inside the prison and fled from the place.

Though the Mayor  tried to chase the man in her car, it was a futile exercise. She later informed the Police Commissioner about the incident.

Here it is worth mentioning that ganja, knives, cell phones, chargers and many banned items have been seized from the prison during several raids in  the past.
