Man held for sexual assault on minor girl

Kasargod, Sep 16, 2016: A man arrested on the charges of sexually assaulting  a six year old minor girl  at on 13 septmber , Tuesday at Badiadka.

The accused is identified as Chidananda Aharaya (48), owner of  Jewellery shop located here. He is also a  BJP  and RSS activist.

Chidananda assaulted the girl when she had been to shop in Perla market. The girl revealed the matter to the parents. The matter was taken up with Childline, who alerted the police. 

Complaint was registered at Badiadka police station regarding the case. Both were subjected to medical examination.

On confirmation the accused was arrested on September 16, Friday. He was produced to court and remanded in judicial custody.
