Man dies in Hit and Run accident in Byndoor.

Kundapur: August 15, 2015: A man was killed when a lorry hit his scooter from behind at Byndoor in Kundapur taluk.

According to the police, Raymond Nazreth was driving his motorcycle from Uppunda to Nityadhar Nagar in Byndoor, when a lorry moving from Kundapur to Bhatkal hit his scooter in front of the State Bank of Mysore in Byndoor at around 3.30 a.m. The lorry driver did not stop after the accident.

Raymond, who suffered severe injuries, was first rushed to the Adarsha Hospital in Udupi. He died when he was being shifted to the Kasturba Hospital in Manipal.

Rash and negligent driving by the lorry driver is said to be the cause of the accident. A case has been registered at the Byndoor police station, the police said.
