Man barges into house at Kudroli, attacks woman

Mangaluru, May 26, 2018: Police are on the lookout for a person named Sohail (40) from Firdaus Nagara in Uppala, who reportedly barged into a house near the Kudroli Jamia Masjid and attacked a woman.

 

The incident took place on the night of May 24, Thursday when the woman’s husband had been to the mosque. When someone knocked at the door the woman’s son had opened only for Sohail to barge in and attack her with a knife which he picked up from the kitchen. The woman has sustained injuries in her attempt to save herself. The accused reportedly fled the place when the woman and her son raised a cry.

The victim has been hospitalised. The cause of the attack is not known.
