Man arrested for bid to smuggle ganja concealed in pumpkins

Mangaluru, May  19 2018:  The Central Industrial Security Force personnel have arrested a person  who was attempting to smuggle ganja concealed inside a pumpkin.

 

The arrested person is Tasleem Kalai Bashir, a resident of Kalai.  He was supposed to leave for Doha via Mangaluru International Airport on Friday evening. On inspection of his luggage, officials found three pumpkins. Growing suspicious they  checked further to find 5 kg ganja concealed inside it. Though he was supposed to leave by the 5.35 pm flight he had arrived two hours ahead at the airport.
