Mahashivaratri celebrated with religious fervour across district

 Mangalore, Feb 28, 2014 : Mahashivaratri was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety by devout Hindus across the district on February 27, Thursday. Devotees thronged various Shiva Temples right since the morning to pay their obeisance to the Lord.

In Mangalore,  special rituals were held at Kadri Sri Manjunatheshwara Temple, Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple,  Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple at Pandeshwar, Panchalingeshwara Temple at Urva, Kavoor Mahalingeshwara Temple, Sri Nandaneshwara Temple at Panambur and various other shrines.

Thousands of devotees even visited Sri Manjunatha swami Temple at Dharmasthala, participated in the special rituals and offered prayers to the Lord.
