Mahamastakabhisheka: CM to take part today

Udupi, Jan 28, 2015: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Energy Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Planning and Statistics Minister S.R. Patil will be participating in the mahamastakabhisheka at Karkala in Udupi district on Wednesday.

Minister Sidda..The events slated for Wednesday include scenes of ‘Raja Vaibhava’ from ‘Pancha Kalyana’ at 11 a.m.; a quiz programme on Kannada Jain literature at 2 p.m.; public function at Pattanashetti Ground at 3 p.m.; an attractive ‘Agrodaka’ procession at 6 p.m.; cultural programme at 7 p.m. and ‘kalashabhisheka’ of Lord Bahubali’s statue by 504 ‘kalashas’ at 8 p.m.

According to a press release here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister would participate in the mahamastakabhisheka at 3 p.m.

Mr. Siddaramaiah would then visit the St. Lawrence Shrine at Attur near Karkala at 5 p.m. and participate in the annual feast.

He would also inaugurate the Guru Nivas in Attur. He would later lay the foundation stone for the Christa Samudaya Bhavan.

He would leave Karkala for Mangaluru at 6.50 p.m. and then from there to Bengaluru.
