Mahabala Maarla blames Nalin Kumar Kateel for Vijaya Bank merger

Mangaluru, Apr 03, 2019: District Congress Spokesperson and former mayor Mahabala Maarla has blamed Dakshina Kannada MP and BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel for the merger of Vijaya Bank having its roots in the district with Gujarat based Bank of Baroda.

Speaking to reporters at the Congress Election Office on April 3,  Wednesday, Maarla said  Nalin was blaming Congress leaders Veerappa Moily and P Chidambaram in order to hide its own failures and to reap political gains.

Though Nalin was aware of the merger proposal, instead of  launching a fight against it, he  had kept mum only to ensure a ticket to contest again, alleged Maarla.

Former MUDA Chairman Suresh Ballal, TK Sudhir and other party leaders were present.
