Magistrate booked on charges of assault commits suicide

Kasargod, Nov 09, 2016 : A magistrate who was booked for assulting commits suicide in his quaters at  Vidyanagar in Kasargod on November 09, Wednesday.

The deceased is V.K. Unnikrishnan (45), hailing from Thrissur, was serving as first class judicial magistrate in Kasargod.He is survived by wife and two children.

Two cases were booked against Unnikrishnan on November 06, Sunday at Sullia and was suspended from service for allegedly assaulting them.He was found hanging in his residence.

On information the police reached the spot and shifted his body to Hospital for autosy.
