Madikeri accident claims Kodagu BJP leader’s life

Madikeri, Mar 19, 2019 : A BJP leader from Kodagu died in car-truck collision near Madikeri on March 19, Tuesday evening.

 

The deceased is identified as Balachandra Kalagi(47) a Chief Secretary of Kodagu district BJP and Former President of Sampaje gram panchayat.

Reports said that Kalagi’s omni van collided head-on with a truck plying from opposite direction. Due to the impact he breathed his last on the spot. On hearing the news about the accident MP Pratap Simha,Virajpet MLA Bopaiah and other BJP workers rushed to the hospital.

Madikeri rural police have registered the case.
