MRPL to develop green belt on 30 more acres in DK

Mangalore, Sep 9,2017: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, to take up the greenbelt development Stage-2 in 30 acres of land at the park.

A release from MRPL here said M. Vinaykumar, Chief General Manager (I/c Refinary,TS & MO), MRPL, and V. Prasanna, Project Director (DUDC) and Executive Director of Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, and Jayaprakash Bhandary, Director, Pilikula Nisarga Dhama signed the MOU on Wednesday.

As per the MOU, MRPL will fund the project and the Pilikula society will develop 30 acres with plantation of different plants from the Western Ghat species and also maintain the same for a period of three years.
