MPH Students of Nitte University to visit School of Public Health at University of Minnesota

Mangaluru, May 13, 2019: The fifth batch of Master of Public Health (MPH) Students from Nitte (Deemed to be University) will be participating in the summer institute at the School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, for three weeks’ period from May 20th to June 7th 2019.

Dr. Ann John Mampilli, Ms. Chandini Ullal, Dr. Namratha Sanchez and Ms. Veeksha Rai from Department of Public Health, K S Hegde Medical Academy are availing this opportunity of global exposure in the field of public health where they take additional capacity building on writing competitive grant proposals, project management, Global Food Systems, Use of Technology in Public Health Practice.  An additional credit for their MPH programme is given as a part of student exchange program. 

Nitte (Deemed to be University) has a Memorandum of Understanding with University of Minnesota for exchange programme to enable students from both the Universities visit each other every year for educational gains. The Vice Chancellor, Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Registrar, Dr Alka Kulkarni, Dean of K S Hegde Medical Academy, Dr P S Prakash & faculty of the Department of Public Health congratulated the team for their bon voyage.
