Mangaluru, Feb 01, 2016: DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanatha Rai has accused MP Nalin Kumar Kateel of resorting to drama by opposing the Yettinahole project.
Speaking to reporters at Circuit House here on February 1, Monday, Rai said he however cannot resort to such drama and accused MP Nalin of trying to reap political benefit by opposing Yettinahole project.
He even challenged the MP to quit the BJP and then oppose the project. Stating that Yettinahole Project was initiated by BJP leaders, he added most BJP leaders were backing it. This being the case it can very well be understood that Nalin is opposing the project merely for political and personal gains, Rai added.
Nalin and some other leaders are accusing CM Siddaramaiah of implementing the project while it was actually Sadananda Gowda who gave a go ahead for the project during his chief ministership, Rai said. He also claimed that Nalin and some other leaders were only playing with the sentiments of the people of the district.
Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Mayor, Ibrahim Kodijal, interim President of DK Congress, Shashidhar Hegde, Naveen D’Souza and Sabitha Misquith, Corporators were present.
