MP Kateel thanks Union minister for NIEIT

Mangaluru, July 28,2017: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on July 27, Thursday met Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and thanked him for sanctioning NIEIT- National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology in Mangaluru.

The Minister had recently made the announcement about sanctioning the institute in the city. A communiqué from the MP’s office here said that the institute was essential for a city like Mangaluru to further the growth of Tier 2 cities.

Such institutes would encourage start-ups in the coastal region even as Mangaluru has all the qualifications to become an IT hub, the MP had told the Minister.

MP Kateel had told the Minister that it is also necessary to arrest brain-drain from the coastal region.
