MN Rajendra Kumar re-elected unopposed as SCDCC Bank President

Mangalore, May 29, 2014 : MN Rajendra Kumar has been re-elected unopposed as the  President of the South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank (SCDCC) on May 29, Thursday. Vinay Kumar Soorinje was also unanimously elected as the Vice  President. MCC Commissioner Shanady Ajith Kumar Hegde was the Election Officer.

This information was provided by Ajith Kumar Hegde  at  a press meet held later on. None others excluding the two had filed their nominations for the two posts, he said.

Speaking after his re-election, Rajendra Kumar thanked everyone for giving him another opportunity to serve the Bank for the next five years.

 This is the first election to the SCDCCC Bank after the formation of the Co-operative Election Commission following an amendment to the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act 1959 in the year 2012.

 Eleven members from various  primary co-operative societies from DK and Udupi districts  and  a total of 14 members, one each from the Agriculture Produce Marketing Societies< Town Co-operative Banks Non-Agricultural Credit-Co-operative Societies and other co-operative societies were elected.

MN Rajendra Kumar (President), Vinaykumar Soorinje (Vice President), TG Rajaram Bhat, B Niranjan,  Shashi Kumar Rai B, KS Devaraj, Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Rajesh Rao, B Raghuram Shetty S Raju Poojary, M Vadiraj Shetty, Bhasker S Kotian, Sadashiva Ullal, SB Jayaram Rai.

GR Vijaykumar, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies and M Gopalkrishna Bhat, Managing Director of SCDCC Bank were present.
