MLC D’souza suspects long train travel time, Mangaluru to bengaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2017: MLC  Ivan D’souza questioned MP Nalin Kumar for lack of  action regarding the long train travel time  between Mangaluru to Bengaluru. A time of  13 to 15 hours,  he suspects is the handy work of the bus lobby in behind the scenes manipulation to gain passengers.

MLC Ivan spoke to the media and said “Indira Canteens will be opened in all the taluks of Dakshina Kannada district. We will have a total of 247 Canteens in the State. Canteens will open in Moodbidri and new taluks ” he assured. He said that this information was given by food and civil supplies minister, U T Khader which was given by CM".

MLC Ivan also said he is of the opinion that such canteens should come up in Mulky and Bajpe taking in to account high number of workers, students, and population living below poverty line.

Ivan said that the transport minister had told him that luxury buses would be introduced by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to Bengaluru from January 2018. Permits have been issued to KSRTC to run 56 single trips by eight buses between Mangaluru and Karkala via this town.
