MLA Shakuntala Shetty in tears as she complains of being sidelined in party

Belagavi, Dec 11, 2014: The Congress Parliamentary party meeting held at Belagavi on December 10, Tuesday witnessed an unusual scene when Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty virtually  shed tears  while narrating her party related woes. The MLA who had defected to the Congress prior to the Assembly elections, complained that she was sidelined by party leaders in the district.

The MLA   aired her grouse against DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai and alleged that  it was due to his intervention that the KPCC cancelled the appointment of the new President of Puttur Block Congress who was her choice. “Rai saw to it that a leader recommended by him  was appointed to the post,” Shakuntala Shetty complained even as her  voice was choked with emotion.

KPCC Chief Dr G Parameshwar who gave a patient hearing to the MLA’s woes assured to  look into the  issue  and see to it that  justice was done to her.
