MLA Rizwan Arshad meets families of police firing victims; hands over Rs 2.5 lakh each

Mangaluru, Jan 04, 2020: Rizwan Arshad, MLA from Shivajinagar constituency in Bengaluru visited the residences of Abdul Jaleel and Nausheen who were killed in the December 19 police firing in Mangaluru and handed over a compensation of  Rs 2.5 lakh each to the family members of the two. The MLA also consoled the grieving family members.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Rizwan said it was not proper on the part of the state government to withhold compensation after announcing it.

DCC Chief Harish Kumar, MLC Ivan D’Souza, District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai and others were present.
