Both Lobo and Dennis D’Silva  expressed their apprehensions over the recent incident which they said has brought in a sense of insecurity among  Christians. The Home Minister is learnt to have assured them that the government would do everything possible on its part to ensure that Christian shrines are unharmed. Lobo said the minister has also informed him that the Police Department has been instructed to initiate strict action against the miscreants resorting to such act.

It may be recalled here that some unidentified miscreants had stoned the St Joseph Vaz prayer centre at Panir on February 24 night and had  caused harm to the  glass enclosures having the statues of Infant Jesus and Mother Mary.
