MIA to soon have an Ebola Virus Scanner

Mangaluru, Nov 22, 2014 : JT Radhakrishna, Director of the Mangaluru International Airport has informed that the Airports Authority of India has made a request  to the Union Health Ministry for an Ebola Virus scanner. He said a thermal scanner equipment has been sought.


Ebola Radhakrishna further stated that a DGCA team from Bengaluru and Hyderabad which was in the airport recently to check the measures presently in place at the airport to screen passengers for Ebola Virus Disease, was fully satisfied with the same.


The Airport director further said the Airport authorities were screening international passengers for Ebola and so far no one has been detected with Ebola Virus.
