Mangaluru, Jan 09, 2015: Mangaluru North MLA BA Moidin Bava has said that an investors meet has been proposed in the Gulf nations in the presence of State Minister for Basic Infrastructure Development Roshan Baig, DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai and local MLAs in order to seek investments for the expansion of the Mangaluru International Airport.
Speaking to reporters at his office here on January 8, Wednesday the MLA said the meet has been planned in the backdrop of the Centre’s inability to sanction the nearly Rs 1,100 crore that is required for the airport expansion which also needs Rs 189 acre land. The MLA at the same time admitted the presence of ganja mafia in his constituency and added the police have been on the look out for the mafia men in a bid to crack down the illegal business.
