MCC to lay foundation stone for four new projects on July 24

Mangaluru July 20, 2016: Mangalore City Corporation is all set to lay foundation stone for four new projects including development of Alake and Kavoor  markets on July 24,  informed Mayor Harinath.

Addressing  the Press at MCC office on July 20, Wednesday, he said  foundation would also be laid for the development of Kavoor Junction and construction of a dining hall at Town Hall. The projects will be taken up at an estimated budget of Rs one crore each, the Mayor informed.

He also said that Night Shelter in Bunder will be inaugurated by Urban Development Minister Roshan Baig on the same day.  Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment Ramanath Rai, Minister for Food UT Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and  MLA JR Lobo, are expected to take part in the function.

Chairman of Health Committee Kavitha Sanil, MCC Commissioner Nazeer,  former mayors Shashidhar Hegde and  Jacintha Alfred were present at the press meet.
