MCC polls : Youngest candidate Jessel had won a battle against cancer

jessel5nov19.jpgMangaluru, Nov 05 2019: Jessel Viola D’Souza, the youngest candidate in the fray in the upcoming MCC elections  who is facing  electoral battle for the first time, has already won a major battle against cancer much earlier in life.


Jessel who is a BJP candidate from Ward No. 38 Bendur and is pitted against  Naveen D’Souza of the Congress, is just 26 and is an MBA graduate. Jessel was diagnosed with   Papillary Carcinoma ( A  cancer pertaining to Thyroid) ten years ago when she was in tenth standard.   She won the battle against cancer which lasted for nearly five years,  thanks to her strong determination and will power and also with the support of her family members, friends, teachers and well wishers  who stood  behind her like a rock during her illness.


Wife of dental surgeon Dr Rayon Castelino, she is the daughter of Alwyn D’Souza and Flany D’Souza couple.
