M.S. Mohammad takes charge as DK Congress Minorities Cell Chief

Mangalore, Oct 8, 2014: M.S. Mohammad, the new President of the Dakshina Kannada District Congress Minority Cell  has said he would strive hard  for the welfare of the minorities.

 

 

Mohammad was speaking after taking charge as the Minority Cell Chief at Shanthi Nilaya, Balmatta on October 7, Tuesday. District Minister Ramanatha Rai formally handed over the party flag to Mohammad on the occasion.

Mohammad further stated that the Congress has   contributed significantly towards the progress of minorities through various programmes.

Ramanatha Rai, District in-charge Minister, Abhayachandra Jain, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Ivan D’Souza, MLC also spoke on the occasion.

Several party leaders including Ibrahim Kodijal, Interim President of District Congress, Moidin Bava, Shakuntala Shetty, Vasanth Bangera, MLAs, Mithun Rai, District Youth Congress President and others were present.
