Lorry rams into scooter: Fleeing driver caught by traffic cop

Bantwal, Nov 24, 2023: A lorry driver who had tried to flee in his vehicle after knocking down a scooterist at BC Road, was trapped by the traffic police.

 

The lorry had knocked down scooterist Giriyappa  at the Kaikunje Cross. The scooterist was injured in the mishap. But even as public rushed to the spot, the lorry had fled the scene of the accident.  Traffic policeman Raju Poojary who was on duty nearby on getting information managed to chase the lorry and intercept it at Bastipadpu. The driver and the vehicle were taken into custody.

Melkar Traffic Police have registered a case.
