Lockdown effect : Mujrai temples suffer Rs 600 crore loss of revenue

Mangaluru, June 01, 2020:   State Minister for Ports and Mujrai and DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has said that the Covid-19 lockdown has incurred a loss of around Rs 600 crore to the Mujrai temples in the state.

 

Speaking to reporters in Mangaluru on June 1, Monday, he said Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple alone has incurred a loss of Rs 14 crore in the months of April and May.  The  Minister further said the A and B grade  temples have  suffered a 35% dip in revenue.
