Locals try to thwart Kadri renovated crematorium inaugural

Mangaluru, Mar 19, 2018: An incident where in locals  tried to obstruct the inaugural of the renovated Hindu crematorium at Kadri took place on March 19, Monday .

 

Just when Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo arrived at the venue,  members of the local Jogi Community took strong objection to the laying of interlocks around the crematorium. They demanded that the interlocks be removed and also  placed forth several other demands of the community. Even Mayor Bhasker Moily was present with the MLA.

Later, the MLA managed to convince the  Jogi community members of solving their problems and fulfilling their demand. The inauguration was later held in the presence of DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai,  Crematorium Renovation Committee President AJ Shetty and others.
