Local people rescue 8 fishermen near Bengre

Mangalore, Aug 7, 2012:  The local people of Alive Bagilu, Bengre rescued 8 fishermen whose boats had capsized on Aug 6, Monday.

Syed Madani, a fishing boat with four fishermen on board, got caught in a storm. Sania, another trawler, also got into trouble when it dashed into a pile of sand close to the shore. The local people noticed this and immediately took another boat to the spot. They succeeded in rescuing all the 8 fishermen.

Sanjeeva, Santhosh, Suresh, and Umesh were rescued from Sania while Manohar, Jonam, Johnson, and Shravan of Tamil Nadu were rescued from Syed Madani.

On Aug 5, Sunday, the local people had rescued four fishermen. So far, the local people have rescued 12 fishermen in trouble.
