Local MP, MLA positive of collapse of state govt soon after election results

Mangaluru, May 07, 2019: At a BKP protest staged in front of the DC’s office on May 6, Monday, against the alleged “vengeful actions by the state government” against media persons who had criticised it on social media.  MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has predicted that the state government will collapse soon after BJP comes to power again at the Centre with a thumping majority after announcement of results on May 23.

He said the state government’s vendetta will prove costly for the chief minister, home minister and it is going to land the government into trouble. He said the state is facing “an undeclared emergency” situation.

“Some mediapersons who had criticised the state government on social media have been arrested as per the instructions,. The arrested persons, Mahesh Vikram Hegde, Shruthi Bellakki, Sharada Diamond, Hemanth Kumar and Ajith Shetty Heranji are being mentally tortured,” he claimed.

“The journalists who are behind bars will come out after May 23,  the situation will take a U-turn.

Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath said the chief minister and the ministers of the state government have completely ignored the progress of the state, he alleged.
