Little Sanmathi’s generous action for DK flood relief

Mangaluru, Aug 27, 2019: It was a pleasant big  surprise and filled those present at DC office on August 26, Monday, when 10-year-old Sanmathi, student of fifth standard in Sharada Vidyanikethana English Medium School at Kinya near Talapady,  handed over a cheque of Rs 10,000 and a letter to DK DC  Sasikanth Senthil S for flood relief works.

 

 Sanmathi, daughter of Nithin, serving in the District PU Department, had celebrated her 10th birthday on August 25 and her grandmother, former MLA Shakuntala Shetty, had gifted her the Rs 10,000 cheque as birthday gift. She unilaterally on the spot  decided that the flood ravaged people need more. She insisted that her folks take her to DC office to officially hand over in person the gift. Her father obliged and happiness has been spreading through her kind thoughts.
