Lightning kills woman in Nelyadi

Uppinangady, Oct 10, 2014 :  A young woman died after being struck by lightning at Karumbala in Nelyadi village on Oct 9, evening. The deceased has been identified as Harinakshi (22), daughter of Kushalappa Kumbara.

She was filling the earthen owen outside the house, when rain began to lash heavily accompanied by lightning and thunder. She died on the spot.  As per procedure a case has been registered at Uppinangady police station.
