Library at city Patrika Bhavan for journos

Mangaluru, Dec 15, 2019: Mescom managing director Snehal R inaugurated the library set up by Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association at the Patrika Bhavan Trust in the city on Dec 14, Saturday.  

She said present day media needs to portray news along with values.  “Research will be helpful to get into the core of the issues and a library at the Patrika Bhavan will help scribes to do more research on articles planned by them,” she said, and added that a sensible media will create an alert society,” the managing director stated.

Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer Dr R Selvamani stressed on the need to update one’s knowledge through reading to ensure that one does not get outdated in the current scenario.

Karnataka State Working Journalists’ Association president Shivananda Tagadur, general secretary Lokesh and Dakshina Kannada district working journalists’ association president Srinivas Nayak Indaje were present. Indeed a useful facility for the city scribes.
