Mangaluru, June 17, 2017: Senior Congress leader B. Janardhana Poojary who has taken strong exception to the state government’s proposal to control the costs in private hospitals and clinics, has questioned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah whether he had consulted all those concerned before making the proposal.
Speaking to reporters here on June 17, Saturday, Poojary also expressed concern over the fact that several patients were affected due to the strike by the private hospitals on Friday. He also wanted to know if the Chief Minister was a dictator to take such decisions on controlling costs in private hospitals.
The government should think of improving the condition of government hospitals instead of taking such a step said Poojary and warned that the latest move of the state government may only affect the party’s prospects in the next elections.
Vijaykumar Shetty, Kallige Taranath Shetty and other Congress leaders were present.
