Legal awareness programme for youth held at Puttur

Puttur, Sep 21, 2019: A programme for legal awareness on women’s violence, social networking and youth was organised on Saturday at St. Philomena College, Puttur. The programme was organised by Mangalore based National Social Cultural Development Foundation (NSCDF).

Inaugurating the programme Senior civil justice and chairman of the Taluk Legal Services Committee Mr. Manjunath observed that although humankind has excelled in all spheres of life and we Indians have even undertaken an endeavour like Chandrayaan, the growing number of cases of atrocities against women is still a cause of concern.

He applauded the efforts of the National Social Cultural Development Foundation (NSCDF) in organising the programme for creating awareness. Advocates Anish Krishna Betta and KV Manohar were the resource persons who spoke on atrocities against women, legislation, social media and youth.

Leo Noronha, Principal of St. Philomena College, presided over the inauguration ceremony.


KV Manohar, President of the Puttur Bar Association, Premalatha, Lecturer of St. Philomena College, Rani Pushpalata Devi, Chairperson of KSSAP and Gangadhar Gandhi, NSCDF President were present on the occasion.
