Legal Literacy Chariot, Mobile Court flagged off in city

Mangalore, Mar 18, 2014:  A Legal Literacy Chariot was flagged off in the city on March 18, Tuesday as part of a legal awareness drive jointly launched by the DK District Legal Services Authority, District Administration, Police Department and Transport Department. A Mobile Court or Janatha Nyayalaya was also inaugurated on the occasion.

District Additional Judge Uma MG inaugurated a function held at the Regional Transport Office in connection with the flagging off of the jatha. She elaborated on the objectives of the campaign and said each and every responsible citizen should be aware of the laws of the land.

 A.R. Hegde, District Assistant Regional Transport Officer gave information about Motor Vehicles Act.

Nagalingana Gowda S Patil, Principal Senior Civil Judge also spoke on the occasion. Tulasi Maddineni. ZP Chief Executive Officer, Afzal Ahmed Khan, Regional Transport Officer, P Ashok Ariga of Mangalore Bar Association, BV Prakash, Principal District Sessions Judge and others participated in the function.
