Lawyers boycott court proceedings; seek justice to colleague killed in Allahabad police firing

Mangaluru, Mar 16, 2015:  The lawyers fraternity of Mangaluru boycotted court proceedings on March 16, Monday and staged a protest in front of the District Court Complex  demanding justice to the family of advocate Nabi Ahmed who was killed in police firing  in front of Allahabad Court. The protest was organised by the Mangaluru Bar Association.

 

 

Addressing the protestors, SP Chengappa, Association President  demanded   suitable compensation to the family of the deceased advocate and also  urged for the arrest of the accused cop Shailendra Singh. He further demanded that the Centre should intervene in the issue.

Yashodhar Karkera, Vice President of Bar Association, Raghavendra H, General Secretary, Suma Sharan, General Secretary and several lawyers participated in the protest.
