Speaking to reporters at Subrahmanya on March 20, Sunday Eshwarappa  stated that the budget lacked lustre. He accused the state government of failing to utilise the funds meant for various initiatives of the Social Welfare Department during the year 2015-16.

He further charged the government of not making any concerted effort towards the development of  SC/STs and backward classes. Regarding the creation of Anti-Corruption Bureau, he said  it was nothing but an attempt to shield many of the ministers who are accused of corruption.

He claimed that many party workers and leaders want former CM Yeddyurappa to be made the State BJP Chief. At the same time, he said it was finally left to the discretion of the State BJP leadership.

Earlier the minister offered Ashlesha Bali Seva and other rituals at the  Kukke Subrahmanya Temple along with his family members.  The Chowla of Eshwarappa’s grandson was also performed.

Local BJP leaders and Subrahmanya Gram Panchayat Vice President Dinesh B N and others were present .
