LS poll precautions : Rowdy sheeters paraded; warned of tough action

Mangaluru, Mar 14, 2019: In the wake of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a parade of over 200 rowdy sheeters of Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate limits was conducted at the Police Parade grounds here on March 14, Thursday  wherein a strict warning was issued to them against indulging in any unlawful activities.

 

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil said  the Police Department would keep a strict eye on the activities of the rowdy sheeters. He also stated that the Police Department would not tolerate any unlawful activities and asked all the rowdy sheeters  to keep themselves away from such activities. Anyone going against the bond signed by them will face  invoking of Goonda Act and such other strict provisions, he warned.

Several senior police officials were present.
