LPG tempo driver assaulted, looted near Uppinangady

Uppinangady, July 11,2017 :  The driver of a  tempo which makes home delivery of LPG cylinders was attacked and looted by a gang at Medarabettu near Uppinangady Kadavinabagilu on July 11, Monday morning.

The tempo driver Abdurrehman alias Addu who was seriously injured in the attack has been admitted to a hospital in Puttur.  The incident took place at around 5.30 am.  The injured driver is a resident of Mutta.  The  assailants who were  four in number had  arrived by a Maruti Omni waylaid the tempo near Medarabettu, broke its  glass and assaulted  Adurrehman after dragging him out of the vehicle.  A cash of Rs 9000 which Abdurrehman had with him has been robbed.

Uppinangady police have registered a case.
