LPG cylinder laden lorry meets with mishap near Konaje ; no leakage

Mangaluru, May 06, 2019: A  lorry laden with LPG cylinders meant for distribution  went out of control of the driver and landed in a ditch  near the HP Gas godown close by Arkana in Pajir village of Konaje on May 6, Monday morning. Luckily there were no causalities as there was no gas leakage.

The lorry had first rammed into the wall of the LPG cylinder godown before landing  in a ditch. Luckily a tree in the area  prevented  the lorry from overturning.

The driver has sustained injuries and has been hospitalised. Police and fire service personnel who rushed to the spot ensured that all the gas cylinders were safely removed from the lorry which  was later lifted using a crane.

Meanwhile, a scooterist sustained injuries when his two-wheeler was knocked down near Asaigoli by a  fire brigade vehicle which was rushing towards the mishap site.  The rider has been hospitalised.
