Kuppepadavu youth dies in Saudi road mishap

Mangaluru, Dec 29, 2015: Shaukat Ali (26), a resident of Haleneeru of Kuppepadavu  in Mangaluru taluk has met a tragic end in a road accident at Saudi Arabia on December 27, Sunday night. The  bus belonging to the Najma group carrying pilgrims  from Damam to Umrah   which Ali was riding was hit by a trailer  resulting in the mishap. Several passengers were injured in the accident.

Shaukat who was the sole bread winner of his family upon the death of his father while he was very young,  had  left  abroad  for job four years ago.

 It is nothing but an irony that tragedy struck just a week before  Shaukat was to return hometown and was even planning his house warming ceremony and marriage.  Sources said Shaukat was driving the bus  following persuasion by a friend.
