Kundapur youth arrested for spreading false information about COVID-19 treatment

suresh08june2020Kundapur, June 08, 2020:  The Shankaranarayana Police have arrested a 27-year-old youth on Sunday for "spreading wrong information on social media against the district administration on the COVID-19 treatment in Udupi".

 

The police said the arrested has been identified as Suresh Kulal (27), a resident of Kamalashile, Kundapur. He had recently returned from Bengaluru.

He was spreading wrong information on the social media that the Udupi district administration is charging Rs 3.5 lakhs for COVID-19 treatment. His post had gone viral on social media. The Vandse village accountant Raghavendra filed a complaint in the Shankernaryana Police station against Suresh Kulal.
