Kundapur woman files Triple Talaq case against husband

Kundapur, Sep 09, 2019: A woman from Moodu Gopadi in Kundapur taluk  has lodged a complaint against her husband for giving her triple talaq over phone.  This incidentally is the first such case registered in  the district.

 

The complainant Alifiya (29) has also accused her husband Haneef Sayyed and in-laws  Jaithuna, Abbas and Ayisha  of  dowry torture.

It is alleged that they demanded Rs 5 lakh though  her family had paid Rs 2 lakh at the time of marriage on June 4, 2019.

It is alleged Haneef had given Triple Talaq over phone on August 15 and Alifiya had recorded the same.
